- Optional insurance: theft protection Rp 400,000/month; damage protection from Rp 500,000/month (depends on coverage and rider profile)

Who the Kawasaki Versys-X 250 suits
The Versys-X 250 is for multi-day island touring and for anyone who wants confidence on dirt or broken roads. The 249 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and the windscreen and enduro-style footpegs suit both sitting and standing on long rides. The seat is noticeably taller than the rest of the fleet.
The tank holds about 17 litres — one of the largest in the fleet — and at a relaxed pace up to 105 km/h real-world consumption is around 27–30 km per litre, which gives a very solid range between fill-ups. The bike feels most comfortable at 80–110 km/h. In an early test it powered through thick mud without the suspension bottoming out.
Recommended routes: south Bali — Ubud — Kintamani, the mountain roads of the north, and the east coast out to Amed and Tulamben. The top box and side cases are included at no extra charge.
When another model is a better choice
The stock seat is firm out of the box and needs some breaking in, so it is not the softest choice for short, casual rides. The tall seat can also be a stretch for shorter riders.
For simple city riding and parking, a scooter such as the Honda ADV 160 is easier. If you want the same touring idea with an upright, very comfortable seat and wide windscreen, compare the Suzuki V-Strom 250.

- ClientMany thanks to the BBR team for a great experience, from the reservation till the return of the bike. I was looking for a 250cc with top case and side cases and they had V-Strom 250. Bike was recent and in good condition. Price benchmark was good also. The bike was delivered and picked up to our place. At some point the clutch cable disconnected itself from the lever, making the bike unusable. They were very reactive to provide a similar bike (Versys 250) within 2 hours and returned the V-Strom the next day. All along the interaction was courteous and professional, with short response time and the staff that came home was friendly. I do recommend BBR and will get back in touch with them at my next trip.
