Getting Around Canggu
Canggu's roads were built for a fishing village, not for the number of scooters, cars and delivery vans now using them every day. Expect real congestion during 8–10am and 4–7pm, especially on Jalan Raya Canggu, around Kerobokan, and on the Canggu Shortcut connecting Berawa to Batu Bolong — a narrow route that can bottleneck badly at peak times.
A scooter is still the fastest way to get around: you can filter through slow traffic and park in spots a car simply can't reach. Parking gets tight right at sunset near the main beach clubs (Batu Bolong / Old Man's, Berawa / Finns) — arrive a little early if you're heading there for sunset.

Which Bike Fits Canggu Best
City riding (cafés, coworking, short hops around Berawa/Batu Bolong/Pererenan): a Honda PCX 160 or Yamaha Nmax 155 — fully automatic, easy to park, plenty for flat coastal roads.
Hills / light adventure riding inland: a Honda ADV 160 — higher ground clearance, still automatic, more confident on inclines than a city scooter.
Long day trips to Ubud or Uluwatu from a Canggu base: a Yamaha Xmax 250 — bigger engine, more stable at highway speed, comfortable over longer distances.
Passenger + luggage / multi-day touring: a Suzuki V-Strom 250 or Kawasaki Versys — manual touring bikes built for two-up riding with gear, best for riders with more experience.
